There were lots of visitors on hand to check out the cars, quite a few more than in past years.
Fair visitors could vote for their favorite vehicle by dropping money in each car's milk jug. The winners would be the cars that accumulated the most donations by the end of the night. All donations went to fund local 4-H programs.

Approximately 30 W-S club members were on hand at Mrs. Rowes for the Christmas party.

The annual W-S and Tri-County Region picnic was a rainy affair, as evidenced by lots of wet modern cars in the parking lot.

Nelson Driver's 1931 Willys-Knight welcomed the public to the W-S Region's vehicle display at the Augusta County Fair. Visitors placed donations in milk jugs at each car with the vehicles receiving the most donations being the winners.

Early Catering provided a wonderful buffet meal - salad, rolls, mashed potatoes. green beans with almonds, macaroni & cheese, Boursin-glazed beef medallions and parmesan-crusted chicken.

Dessert consisted of three wonderfully decorated chocolate and vanilla cakes.
Coffee and cake was a popular after-dinner option.
The guest speaker for the evening was Debbie Nolen, the AACA National Vice-President for Youth Development.
Unfortunately, the Boogie Kings canceled due to a medical emergency so technology to the rescue - background music using a borrowed speaker and a Spotify play list accompanied by a video of the 1999 Glidden Tour.

The first stop on the tour was the Old Providence Church.
W-S Region President Jack Drago shares some information about the church and associated cemetery.
The Old Providence Stone Church was built in 1793 and used until a new building was constructed for services in 1859. Thereafter it was used as a store, residence, high school and a meeting room. A fire destroyed the interior in 1959, but it was later restored.

It's not a tour until the trouble truck shows up! Fortunately, it only took a quick jump start to get moving again.
The Cyrus McCormick Farm, located down the road from the lunch stop. This site is now a historical site and Virginia Tech's Shenandoah Valley Agricultural Research and Extension Center.
It was beautiful Saturday for a tour, with lots of scenery to take in along the route.
The tour concluded with ice cream at a club favorite, DAP's ice cream in Stuarts Draft.
